From CAD To Reality...
1. How long does it take you to make the CAD and WAX model?
It usually takes from two to five days, but you can expedite the process by providing us all the information necessary to make your model from the onset.
2.If I have a drawing or a picture, can you make me a ring from that?
Yes, we will draw the piece on the CAD program with accurate dimensions and send it to the machine to have the actual wax piece made which will be used as the prototype for the casting process. Then we can cast,set stones and finish it for you.
3.How much do you charge to have a ring made from a picture?
This depends upon the sophistication of the design. Some pieces can be designed in 1 hour, some might take 4-5 hours, depends on the detail level. It is best to call us or e-mail us a picture requesting a quote.
4. How long does it take you to produce a wax model if I supply the CAD geometry?
This process is fast, usually next day.
5. Do you accept rush orders?
Rush orders are always welcome. Call or e-mail us with your specific needs.
6. What type of files do you accept for 3-D printing?
We accept files from Rhino, Maya, JewelCAD, SolidWorks, Artcam-Pro, 3Dmax , DXF, STL and SLC. Contact us today to put us to work for you immediately, or for more information.
7. Which machine do you use to print high-resolution models?
We use our T66BT machines from Solidscape. These machines produce models with a superior finished surface and the material has excellent casting qualities, allowing us to cast directly without having to first make a mold. This saves time and ensures finished-product detail.
